Stephen Is Home!

Super wonderful - Stephen is home safe from his trip to Greece.  I was able to drive up to Charlotte to pick him up yesterday.  He has so many wonderful stories and photos, I hope to have him post some here sometime in the next week or two.  He certainly had a good time, and the Lord did an amazing work in him and through him while in Greece.


He (thankfully) loves the idea of keeping a little blog to update people with pictures and stories from our journey together.  So this shall be a fun task!  Soon we will sit down and type out how we met/got engaged, as well as add some of our engagement pictures for people to see.  I'm pretty excited about that, but first he has to wind down back to his routine in Florence from his exciting travels abroad.  He already had to start back at work today.  I guess that's one of the cons to having a "big-people" job.  But I'm looking forward to our date tonight!  :]

Oh, hello there!

Welcome to our blog!  Here we will collect posts and snapshots of the journey we're taking together.

Why am I blogging?  I have a few reasons, the top reason being that I am tired of Facebook and Twitter.  Everyone there seems to decline in maturity.  I want to be able to connect with the people I love as we take this journey.  My family and I live so far away from my extended family, and if the Lord wills it, Stephen and I will be moving even farther.  So this is my attempt to be in touch, to let you be part of our lives.

Stephen is actually serving the Lord in Greece as I type this, which makes me the happiest person in the world.  I love that I get to marry such a giving man.

Oh yeah, we're getting married.  But that's another story.

I'd imagine that I will be the predominant blogger in our future family of two, but who knows?  Stephen may drop in from time to time, or take over and be a blogging machine.  I guess only time will tell.
